How much effort should it take to open a safety barrier?

Rite-Hite’s Safe-T-Gate Swing barrier is a modular pedestrian gate that can be used independently or combined with other guardrails to create protected walkways. It is lightweight to open easily while designed to withstand incidental light-duty impacts up to 1,000 lbs.

Product Specifications:

  • Two 7″ (180 mm) high by 3″ (75 mm) wide yellow extruded PVC rails with UV inhibitor
  • Two 43″ (1100 mm) high by 5″ (130 mm) diameter by 11 gauge (3 mm) thick black steel post columns
  • Safety gates available for openings between 36” (915 mm) and 60” (1525 mm)
  • Integral spring-loaded V-cam hinge is designed to swing 90 degrees in either direction
