Rite-Hite's Safe-T-Strut system helps prevent the collapse of dock levelers undergoing maintenance to protect personnel underneath. The Safe-T-Strut offers a central through-the-lip design that keeps the strut in place throughout the entire operating range of the leveler and supports the entire weight of both the leveler deck and lip.

Built to Earthquake Design Standard

The Safe-T-Strut is rigorously tested and certified to withstand harsh impacts. It remains in position to endure the violent rocking motion produced when a 10,000 lb. forklift traveling at 4 mph collides with the side or drives up half the length of a raised leveler. 

Safe-T-Strut Lock-Out Tag-Out

Helps Comply with OSHA Regulations

OSHA regulation 19.10.147 requires that most facilities place appropriate lockout/tagout devices on equipment to prohibit operation until the lockout device is removed. The Safe-T-Strut provides lockout/tagout capability and is easily padlocked to prevent premature removal. If the leveler were to be unintentionally operated, the strut would not move due to its unique central through-the-lip design.

Enhanced Loading Dock Protection

An optional handle, which is bolted to the side of the dock leveler maintenance strut, is offered to provide an additional 20" to the strut to help prevent dock personnel from crossing underneath a leveler and entering the pit area.
